Sustainability as a priority

The first multi-floor wooden structure was inaugurated in December 2020 on Brigadeiro Faria Lima Avenue in São Paulo. The four-floor building houses the new flagship store of Dengo, a premium chocolate brand that prioritizes sustainability.

The Project

Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) technique

The project was developed by the architecture firm using the Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) technique, an innovative wooden construction technology that is a novelty in the Brazilian market.

The CLT system is composed of panels that form walls and slabs in place of the beams and pillars of conventional masonry. The method gained popularity in seismic regions in Europe due to its low vulnerability to ground movements and has been gaining prominence and importance in the global construction industry.
